Since hosting my first NsH event in 2019 during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, I have become a member of NAMI and a trained facilitator of their awesome 8-session Family-to-Family Program. Along with that, I have become a member of the Healthy Eating and Active Living Coalition as well as the Chair of the Mental Wellness Workgroup by way of my local Department of Health.
All while being a full-time government employee, full-time mom, and a full-time college student simultaneously studying Psychology and Health and Human Services, I have also successfully completed a Psychological First Aid course taught by award-winning author and Researcher, Dr. George Everly, and successfully completed Naloxone Training to help prevent opioid overdoses in my community.
